Rachel Kirk (CeMAP), Managing Director

I always say to my clients that I have spent half my life being a mortgage broker: over 20 years in the financial services industry. Starting at Leeds Building Society and then working for a number of leading estate agents means that I’ve experienced the job in all its facets, and getting to know my clients and helping them is the best part of what I do.

Whether it be mortgages or protection, I’ve learned that establishing a strong relationship is built on clear communication and understanding. Listening to what people want and helping them find what fits their needs creates an invaluable feeling of security for both of us. I am proud to see clients return to see me time again and trust me to just do my job.

Kathryn Whittingham (CeMAP), Administrative and Marketing Assistant

Kathryn provides valuable administrative and marketing support, and anything else that the day to day running of a broker firm brings about. Her English teacher background and time spent working in education means she brings that creative energy to the operational aspects of HomeLife.

Combined with her CeMAP qualifications and experience as a Mortgage and Protection Adviser, she is perfectly positioned to support clients and our team of advisers in reaching mortgage completions and securing insurance policies on risk, and through effective marketing, Kathryn conveys how HomeLife remains true to its brand of expertise and offering a secure and informative customer service.

Karen Baxby (CeMAP), Trainee Mortgage and Protection Adviser

Karen joins HomeLife as a qualified Mortgage and Protection Adviser with over ten years' experience as a broker. With time away from financial services, she is thrilled to return to the industry and take the role as Trainee Mortgage Broker to begin honing her knowledge and skills once again as an experienced adviser.

Her time spent working closely with clients and building trusting relationships is shown in her empathetic and calm nature. Karen understands how important it is to create a comfortable environment for clients and is really looking forward to getting to know new clients and developing a strong reputation at HomeLife.

Oscar Kirk, Head of Security

At a remarkable age, Oscar takes his role of Head of Security very seriously. If caught between napping, his experience in defensive barking at passers-by is put into practice and can be heard proudly from across the estate yard. He brings a skill-set of intrusive sniffing and arm nudging, and when he is not watching diligently out of the window, he will be guarding the fridge and its contents, fast asleep.
